Mole End (ref UKC598) is a cosy yet surprisingly spacious cottage sleeping up to 8 guests. It features two double bedrooms with en suite bathrooms, and two bunk bed rooms ideal for children. Individually styled and full of charm, Mole End offers a warm and welcoming home-from-home, with a generous open-plan kitchen/dining room perfect for sociable meals, and a comfortable lounge with a wood burner for cosy evenings. Outside, a private enclosed garden with gas BBQ and outdoor furniture makes for peaceful mornings or family meals in the sun.
Libbear Barton is ideal for families, with baby and toddler equipment available for all properties. Guests at Mole End have full access to the estate’s exceptional shared facilities, including a large indoor heated swimming pool (open daily from 9am to 8pm, bookable in advance), sauna, gym, and games room with pool table, table tennis, table football and darts. There’s also a soft play area for children up to 7, an adventure playground, and a mini football pitch.
Nature lovers will enjoy the 5 acres of private woodland, tranquil lake, wildlife hide, and open meadows – home to everything from red deer and swallows to hedgehogs and, fittingly, the occasional mole. The on-site petting farm, with miniature donkeys, ducks, chickens and guinea pigs, is always a highlight for younger guests.
Libbear Barton is also a fantastic choice for celebrations. For larger groups, The Stables – a beautiful beamed events room – can be hired for dining, parties and get-togethers, allowing everyone to stay together on site.
If you can tear yourself away from this idyllic setting, the dramatic North Devon and North Cornwall coast is just a 25-minute drive, with sandy beaches, surfing, hidden coves, and scenic clifftop walks. The nearby Tarka Trail offers excellent walking and cycling routes, and local attractions such as The Big Sheep and The Milky Way are close by.
Beach 14 miles. Shop, pub and restaurant 2 miles. Mole End can be booked with Toad Hall (ref UKC595), Badger’s House (ref UKC596) and Otter’s Den (ref UKC597) to accommodate up to 40 guests.
