The cottage was pretty tiny, and the kitchen was absolutely miniscule. It was very pretty but there were cobwebs everywhere so a good bit of dusting wouldn't go amiss! You are also literally right next door to the owners and there is no privacy which is a bit off putting - and there are masses of bees and wasps flying over the pond just outside so it is not really suitable to take small children or to sit outdoors. The owners were lovely, I must say, but i felt really claustrophobic as it was really tiny and the tv didn't work.
