Situated in a rural countryside location, not far from a lovely little village with an ancient church and château.

This property is situated in an elevated position in an area rich in agriculture and working farms with views over the famous oak woodlands of the Périgord Noir and just 5 minutes from the heart of the breathtaking Vézère Valley which attracts a huge number of visitors to this part of France year after year. Whether you enjoy woodland walks, summer days on the river canoeing, prehistoric cave paintings, or visiting some of the most beautiful villages and châteaux, here is an excellent base from which to do it.
Bright, fresh and well-furnished, this holiday property is great for couples or families alike with a south-facing living space and balcony with views. There are three double bedrooms, two of which also have great views over the valley, and they all share the shower room and separate toilet. The large kitchen area leads into a useful garage. A large front terrace is perfect for dining al fresco throughout the long, warm summer evenings and there is also a lawn which stretches along the front and side of the house. The rear side meadows which are still farmed to this day (unfenced) are left wild for hay harvesting and lead directly down to the main road which can get busy in peak season (you may hear road noise). A natural pond to the left of the property is fenced. The country lane (seen on photos) gives access to just other properties and the owner may pop by to water the garden and his vegetables. Rouffignac village, 3km, has a local Sunday market, shops, a bank and a supermarket. Les Eyzies, 14km, has canoe hire, shops and restaurants. The Rouffignac Caves, 6km, is a must visit and is equally accessible for those with young children or with reduced mobility as an electric train takes you through the tour. Shop 3km and restaurant 2km.
