This holiday village of over 100 properties is just a short walk from the centre of the medieval riverside market town of Montignac. Guests at these terraced holiday properties (refs W15070 and W15071) have use of the resort’s shared indoor heated swimming pool with Jacuzzi and a fitness suite. Montignac is famous for the Grottes des Lascaux. An international festival of music and dance is held in the town at the end of July. Night markets are held weekly on Mondays throughout July and August. Here you can enjoy one of the many dishes of local food and bottles of wine that are made by local producers. An outdoor market is held every Wednesday beside the church and offers a wide selection of produce, household items and clothing. There are three boulangeries and a small supermarket, post office, banks, boutiques, riverside restaurants, cycle hire and canoe hire in the town centre. Within a short drive is a very big supermarket, chemist and wine store. Visit Sarlat with its twice weekly market. The Bastide town of Domme, known as the ‘Acropolis of the Dordogne’, and La-Roque-Gageac with its houses built into the rock face are less than an hour’s drive. Shop, café/bar and restaurant 2km.
