We had four great days at the Shearing Shed. The home was extremely clean, modern and cosy. We loved coming "home" every evening!

What a lovely little cottage - so pretty and well equipped and in great condition. My one comment would be that the curtains are thin so we woke up at 5am (as my did my kids) every morning. Make sure you pack an eye mask! However I would definitely stay here again - so lovely. Thank you Penny

Response on behalf of the owner; Thank you for your review. In the twin bedroom, the curtains are A-lined, due to the size of the window, (more lining would be too bulky). The other bedroom has interlined curtains.

The Shearing Shed is a brilliant place to stay - cosy and comfortable with fabulous views of the farmland and hills beyond. It was fun to be there during lambing season and we were welcomed into the shed to see the newest of the lambs! The cottage has everything you need for a comfortable holiday and it is beautifully clean and well maintained.

Christmas week was a respite week for me from my role as carer for my #Alzheimer's suffering husband and The Shearing Shed was the break I needed. Warm, cosy and quiet with views across fields. I loved that it there wasn't much light pollution at night so star gazing was a joy. My friend and I really enjoyed having the log burner stove to complete the Christmas feel. We had taken a detour to see friends on our journey so arrived after dark to be welcomed with a pretty lit Christmas tree and complimentary mince pies, lovely. Rye was close and we had good enough weather to visit Camber Sands, Dungeness and Bodium Castle, as well as Hastings, and the Norman Church at Peasmarsh, all of which were within easy reach.

Brilliant cottage in every respect. Very warm and comfortable with all you would need provided. It is a working farm and so awakened at 6.30 am one morning. Not a problem to me but could be! Would certainly not hesitate in going back.

Great cottage. More light bulbs and wood for the fire would have been good.
