The cottage sits in a pleasant rural location in rolling countryside; a mix of forest and meadows, with some local walks. We had excellent weather and the pool was fantastic - enjoyed by 6 "children" of all ages. The cottage provided ample cool space to retreat from the mid-day sun and read or doze. The property is around 10km from Bergerac (itself an interesting town) and is fairly well located for longer days out: we went to Martell by car, Sarlat by train, and visited historic caves by car.
