Enjoy beautiful views from this southfacing cottage, which lies just 4 miles from Stowmarket, a bustling market town with many shops and pubs.

Located in the heart of the Suffolk countryside across from the village cricket pitch, nestles Lavender Lodge. Hidden behind the owners’ thatched cottage, it looks out over the surrounding 2 acres of land. Lavender Lodge lies close to Stowmarket, a market town since 1347. Every Thursday and Saturday there is a large street market offering a wide range of stalls including food, flowers, arts and crafts. It is a vibrant town with lots of pubs, restaurants and things to do including the award-winning Museum of East Anglian Life, The John Peel Centre for creative arts and throughout the town itself are many fascinating listed buildings. The Suffolk Heritage Coast offers a traditional British seaside outing in the towns of Felixstowe, Southwold and Aldeburgh. Ipswich is perfect for a day of shopping or visiting the marina, which is surrounded by bars, restaurants and cafés. Famous for its undulating landscape, Suffolk is ideal for cycling and walking with marked trails and routes surrounding the property. Shop and restaurant 4 miles, pub 2 miles.

This cottage is really lovely. The rooms are spacious, full of light and beautifully and comfortably furnished and decorated. It has French doors onto a patio which receives the sun all day and into early evening. Inside it had everything we needed and lots of little luxuries on top. The owner was on hand to help with any query but our privacy was complete. From it we visited many lovely places of completely different character from traditional seaside towns, to old country villages, wildlife reserves and the Abbey Gardens and churches of Bury St Edmunds. We are not big on dining out or visiting pubs so cannot comment on that aspect.

A Lovely holiday in the perfect position to see Suffolk. The welcome pack from Pauline was a extra bonus, she was so helpful and friendly who told us about places of interest and the community run pub,The Punch Bowl Battisford It was brilliant for days out Lavenham, Sutton Hoo, Woodbridge etc, but when back home in the lovely garden just watching the wildlife and the sun setting you were away from it all, We will be coming back again soon.
