Really enjoyed our stay at lavender cottage. A home from home, very easy to relax and unwind here. Lovely welcome basket on arrival which was very much appreciated. Positive points were... lovely cosy fire in lounge, luxury home furnishings throughout...loved the eclectic mix of old and new. Excellent hotel quality bed linen & towels. Well appointed kitchen. Great smart tv, DVD library and games cupboard. Perfect location a stone's throw from town so everything you need on your doorstep! Negative points were...very uncomfortable double matress in main bedroom certainly needs replacing. Hugely disapointing bathroom, dated and in need of refurb. Shower itself very poor water pressure....just felt this room not in keeping with the high quality of the rest of the cottage. The owner has since confirmed that the shower/bathroom is being updated and a the matress is being replaced in Jan/Feb 2019.

The cottage is in a great, central location and is very tastefully decorated. As tall 6 footers we felt a little cramped, especially in the bathroom, and we kept hitting our heads on low light fittings. The bed was a bit soft for us. The kitchen was quite cold and poorly lit, but delightfully clean and well appointed. We loved the fire and the living room was lovely and cosy. The thick glazing ensured a very peaceful stay. The cake and milk were nice touches, thank you.
