Kevin and Sally are wonderful hosts. The cottage was so cosy, homely and clean. Lots of dog walks nearby and a nice pub within walking distance. We will definitely be booking again.

We struck gold when we booked Lavender Cottage. It exceeded our expectations in every way. Gus, our 4 year old Golden Retriever, couldn't have been happier either. There was a dog bowl with water and another with biscuits for him on arrival, and a super basket of dog toys for him to raid in the cottage. We had a delicious lemon drizzle cake and fresh flowers. Despite staying in February with cold weather, we were warm and cosy. There was also plenty to do in the area. We could easily have stayed another week. Sally, Kevin and Woody (their Jack Russel) were most welcoming, helpful and flexible with our booking. We would definitely recommend the cottage to friends and plan to return ourselves.

Fabulous cottage for two. Clean beyond belief, everything you could ever need. No need to take anything but yourselves. Would highly recommend cottage. Car essential, but hourly bus service at end of lane every hour into Shrewsbury or Oswestry. All tourist attractions of north Shropshire within easy reach. Would certainly go again. Hosts very welcoming but not intrusive and the lemon drizzle cake waiting for us on arrival was divine.

Lavender Cottage was a perfect base from which to explore Shropshire . It's location was very peaceful, but close to good access to Shrewsbury and the beautiful landscapes and historical gems of Shropshire. The beautifully restored old cottage provides every modern amenity you could need for the perfect break. The accommodation was spacious for two. The hosts gave us a very warm welcome, along with the most delicious lemon drizzle cake we have ever tasted.
