Welcome Cottages

A carefully curated collection of properties that offer high quality, good value accommodation in great locations across the UK, Ireland, France and Italy

Centrally located in Bovey Tracey, this holiday property sits in a delightful area, close to Dartmoor National Park and many National Trust properties.

Dating back to 1800, Laurel’s Cottage has been renovated to a very good standard, keeping traditional features with modern living. The property is ideal for family holidays and friends to get together all year round. There is a small enclosed courtyard with garden furniture, ideal for summer evenings. This semi-detached cottage is located in the centre of Bovey Tracey, the gateway to Dartmoor National Park, with its heather clad moorland, wide open landscapes, rushing rivers and obscure stone tors. There are many National Trust properties close by, as well as rolling valleys, bogs, wetland, waterfalls, ancient, eerie forests and lonely ruins to explore. Take a trip to Torquay and see the penguins, spend a day in Paignton and visit the zoo, or perhaps take a boat trip to Brixham and Dartmouth. Nearby Chagford, Moretonhampstead and Lustleigh are pretty villages, and no visit would be complete without sampling a traditional Devon cream tea. Golf available locally. Beach 10 miles. Shop, pub and restaurant 50 yards.

Beautiful cottage. Very comfortable. Enjoyed our stay immensely. Only complaint was that the water from the shower was rather low on power, this could be due to the shower heads possibly being slightly blocked. A minor quibble!

We had a lovely week away at Laurels Cottage. The cottage itself was bigger than we expected, and it had been decorated and furnished to a high standard, with everything you could need for a home from home. We had a lovely little welcome gift, as did our dogs. The kitchen was well equipped with a lovely big fridge freezer, something you often don't get in holiday rentals. The location was lovely, a pub at the end of the road which served food for those nights when you really didn't want to cook. A Tesco Express across from the pub for any essentials. There is a National Trust estate (Parke) within walking distance which was lovely for a wander and also had a very nice tearoom. I managed to leave my spare phone charger behind and it arrived back to me in the post after we got home before I even realised it was missing. (Thanks so much Julie).

Laurel's Cottage is in a very convenient location - with parking - close to local shops, pubs etc. The Cottage is very clean and well organised - it was cosy and comfortable. We enjoyed our stay despite thick snow (not usual in March!). We would like to return to the Cottage again.
