Laurachlea is a wonderful, sprawling detached house very conveniently situated on the south side of Aberdeen in a peaceful rural location yet only 6 miles from the heart of the ’Granite City’ and all its attractions. An ideal choice for family and friends who want comfort and space to spread out, the elegant living room with open fire and dining area lead into a modern and spacious kitchen via large sliding doors, enabling convivial get togethers after a day out exploring. Outside, the enclosed large lawns overlook amazing panoramic views over the surrounding countryside so you really get a sense of being away from it all.
There is plenty to do and see in the surrounding area, with invigorating walks on the doorstep, good cycle routes and stunning beaches along the coastline In the summer, the wonderful open air Olympic sized heated swimming pool at nearby Stonehaven attracts many visitors and historic Dunnottar Castle is well worth a visit. Stonehaven is also known for the spectacular fireball display on New Year’s Eve, where people swing the flaming spheres through the harbour to ward off evil spirits before throwing them in the sea. Inland, visit the grandeur of the Angus Glens for superb walking and wildlife or enjoy family days out at the sandy beaches at Montrose, Lunan Bay and St Cyrus.
