This wonderful barn conversion in Lewes offers the perfect place to explore Sussex and the South Downs National Park.

At the foot of the South Downs National Park, on a working cattle and sheep farm, is the wonderful Latchetts. A beautiful Grade II listed flint barn, once part of the original dairy farm and now providing spacious accommodation all on one level, ideal for couples and families. There are footpaths from the doorstep into the pretty Sussex village of Kingston, a good resting point along the South Downs Way, which runs 100 miles from Winchester to Eastbourne, and is also ideal for cyclists and horse rider. There is also an indoor play barn, restaurant, ideal for breakfast, and an excellent farm shop which provides highly recommended ready meals! The historic town of Lewes is close by where you can visit Anne of Cleves House, Harvey’s Brewery and Lewes Castle, built in 1087. The banks of the River Ouse provide fishing opportunities, or for a change of pace, hang gliding and paragliding is available off of Mount Caburns southern edge. Take a picnic to the opera at Glyndebourne during the summer season. Take a day trip to France from Newhaven to Dieppe. Visit Brighton and scour the famous lanes for a bargain, stroll along the pier or indulge in a bit of sunbathing on the beach. Beach 8 miles. Shop 50 yards, pub and restaurant ¾ mile.

Amazing cottage in a great location. The farm adventure park next door is fabulous for kids, and the cottage is in walking distance of two great pubs. The Juggs pub is a lovely country walk away, with fantastic food and a lovely place for the kids to play . Mandy at the cottage was extremely friendly and helpful during our three weeks at this gorgeous cottage. I would highly recommend this cottage to anyone.

Spacious and well resourced accommodation in a great location especially for the South Downs Way which we were walking. A warm and attentive welcome from the host made us quickly relax to enjoy the joys of Latchetts which has a farm shop 50 yards away as well as excellent farm facilities for children.
