We stayed at lanthorm for a little crafting weekend somewhere quiet, and it totally delivered, lovely cottage, and gorgeous surroundings and everything we needed.

It's a beautiful period house with a lovely large garden and summer house. It has all the amenities needed but not cake tins (we had to make a birthday cake for Grandpa's birthday) but we improvised and all was well, I don't suppose many people need cake tins on holiday! Everything was easy to use. The cottage wasn't overly clean which I know is difficult to achieve on an older property as there are so many nooks and crannies but we found a dirty pair of pants under the cot. Also, some of the information in the folder needs updating as the bin days are incorrect and there is no bin calender on the wall in he kitchen as stated though the caretaker was very helpful when contacted regarding this. This property is in a lovely rural location and you could walk to the beach though we never did as it's a bit of a stretch with two young children and all the stuff that goes with them. We would stay here again.

Loved staying at the Lanthorn Cottage. Great quiet location with the beach 15 minutes away (footpath across the field and behind the camp park is best). The cottage was well equipped with everything you need. Although the village shop is limited there's a big Tesco in Stalham about 5 miles away or a Waitrose in North Walsham about 8 miles away.

nice cottage in a great location. we managed to walk to the local village and pub but found it a little too far to walk to the beach which is a nice one. The garden is lovely and secure and clean which is perfect for children and pets. we found the cottage matched the description and photos and we enjoyed our stay and would consider using it again if we visited the area. the kitchen was new and modern and was well equipped. our only criticism was that the cottage needed a really good clean. I realise there isn't much time between changeovers but the dust under the bookcase which housed the TV and the dust on the louvre wardrobe doors in the rear bedroom suggested these areas had not been cleaned for many weeks. There was an old dirty duster lying on the floor in the living room. the windows also needed a good clean. a good clean and this cottage would be perfect
