Lovely cottage, clean and light and well equipped. We were there for a weekend to join in 60th birthday celebrations in Cockermouth, so a convenient location, also with easy access to beaches - which the dog loved.

Really good cottage, very comfortable clean and well maintained. We all enjoyed our stay, dogs included. Owned and run by a friendly and helpful family. Within driving distance of the Lake District. Would recommend.

Very clean and comfortable, with good kitchen and bathroom and fabulously comfy beds. Cottage was well equipped, except for tv. For a large lounge it was way too small and the small indoor aerial was woefully inadequate- unable to access ITV, channel 4 or 5 as well as numerous others. It was ok for a short break but could be annoying for any longer, which is a shame as otherwise we would have scored higher.

    Response from:

Response on behalf of the owner; Many thanks for your comments regarding the TV. I did not realise other channels were unavailable. We have purchased a freeview box and it has been installed today; a larger TV will be provided as soon as we are able to. Please accept my apologies for any inconvenience caused. I hope it didn't detract too much from the enjoyment of your stay and you will consider us again in the future. Suggestions regarding possible improvements are always welcome.

Fantastic cottage , lovely quiet locations. Lindsay the owner was fantastic and even brought round 2 packs of dvd’s to keep children entertained on rainy evening. Loads of bedroom space, great games cupboard . Will most certainly use again in the near future

We had a lovely stay here with friends and our 8 month old baby. The cottage is very cosy and th decor lovely. The kitchen had everything we needed including a gas bob which my husband enjoyed cooking on. We enjoyed the log fire in the evening and we all said we slept well in th comfortable bedrooms. The cottage is spotless and we felt very comfortable all weekend. Lindsey, our host was really nice and checked we were ok without making us feel uncomfortable. We were also told about a swimming pool that can be hired and a restaurant which gets booked up quickly so when we book again we will definitely arrange this beforehand. Overall we really enjoyed our stay and will definitely book again. We were pleased to be th first guests to stay here and I am sure it will do very well in the future.
