Why Us?

Description

Langa Cottage is just 1 mile from sandy windsurfers beach, and a short drive from world class golf at Machrihanish.

All on ground floor: Living/dining room/conservatory. Kitchen. 1 double bedroom with en-suite bathroom with shower over bath and toilet.

NSH, electricity, bed linen and towels included. DVD. CD. Microwave. Washing machine. Fridge/freezer. Patio and furniture. Shared garden. Private water supply. Parking. No smoking. NB: Unprotected drop in farm courtyard.

In a rural location just 3.5 miles from Campbeltown, this cosy cottage is ideally located for enjoying the unspoilt countryside and glorious beaches of the Kintyre peninsula. Thanks to the warming Gulf Stream, palm trees grow easily here and, just 1 mile away, Westport’s fine sandy beach is popular with windsurfers. Set on the owners’ working farm, Langa Cottage also lies within a short drive of world class golf at Machrihanish on the shores of the Atlantic, and walking on the Kintyre Way from Tarbert to Southend is close by. Visitors can enjoy a tour and a ‘wee dram’ at the whisky distillery at Springbank, and the Linda McCartney Memorial Garden is nearby. Trips to the islands of Gigha, Islay and Jura are easily accessible and the airport (4 miles) has twice daily flights to Glasgow. Shops and pubs 3.5 miles.

Close to Campbeltown but far enough away for peace and relaxation. Cottage very comfortable and enclosed garden ideal if you have a dog. Mary and Rory are lovely people. We would not hesitate to go back again.

This is good basic accommodation and ideal if you’re holidaying on your own as with the owners on site you don’t feel isolated. It was cosy, warm and compact and the garden is perfect both for the dog and a wee sun trap on a sunny day. For February I had super weather. Maybe only downside was that there was very little open at this time of year. You’d drive somewhere only to find it shut and no facilities open which in this day and age isn’t a good thing.

This was a perfect little cottage, compact and cosy. The owners were welcoming and friendly and their local knowledge led me to places I wouldn’t have visited otherwise. It was also perfect for the first thing in the morning/last walk at night with the dog with the farm track on your doorstep. Loved it.
