Description

Ideal bolthole for small family with beaches, zoo, Eden Project, Lost Gardens of Heligan and more waiting to be discovered.

Lakeside, which can sleep up to 3 people, is just minutes from the beautiful beaches of Newquay and overlooking the park and boating lake. Lakeside, adjoining the owner’s home, is a hidden gem that’s the perfect base for exploring Cornwall from its dramatic north coastline to its more softer south coast. Padstow and Watergate Bay, home to Jamie Oliver’s restaurant ’Fifteen’, and Rick Stein’s cookery empire are a short journey along one of the country’s most beautiful coastal drives or a walk along the south west coastal path. Newquay, which lays claim to the surf capital of the UK, has many surf schools, bike hire and numerous beachside cafes and bars dotted along its many golden beaches. Just a stroll away brings you to a lakeside restaurant for that morning coffee or evening meal. A working harbour for sea fishing, cinema, zoo, golf course, horse riding and National Trust gardens are all to be found nearby making this the perfect spot to enjoy all the area provides. The Eden Project, Lost Gardens of Heligan, St Ives, Truro and Falmouth are all easily reached from this perfect touring spot. Shop 1 mile, pub 500 yards and restaurant 150 yards.

Location was really good but there were a number of issues with the property and contents. There were two dirty bowls in the cupboard that needed washing up. The shower drain was disgusting and I pulled huge amounts of hair from it to enable it to drain properly. The settee was very uncomfortable Having said all that it wasn’t expensive

Owner is welcoming and approachable.Location is excellent.Only complaint is sofa is uncomfortable and required replacing.Light in the lounge is too bright and a table lamp would be useful.
