This cluster of lovely modern holiday homes is located adjacent to Kincora Harbour on the shores of Lough Derg, a 10 minute stroll from the cathedral town of Killaloe. This town is the birthplace of Ireland’s famous 10th century High King, Brian Boru and hosts the Brian Boru Festival every year in mid-July with traditional music, dancing and festivities. Killaloe has many fine craft shops and great pubs with traditional music, restaurants and coffee shops. On Sundays there is an organic farmers market. In addition to having a toddlers’ play area on site, there is a public playground (suitable for older children) in Killaloe itself and also a public, natural outdoor swimming pool for open use during the summer months. The lake is ideal for water sports and UL Activity Centre, located just 10 minutes along the lake shore from the holiday homes, offers a fantastic choice including sailing, windsurfing and kayaking. Take leisurely boat cruises on the ‘Spirit of Killaloe’ and enjoy the tranquillity of Ireland’s largest lake or go further afield to visit many of Co. Clare and Limerick’s famous attractions such as the Cliffs of Moher, the Burren Region, Limerick city and castle. There are many golf courses in the region.
