On the outskirts of Lancaster, this characterful cottage is ideal for families wanting to explore all that the city and the North West has to offer.

Situated on the outskirts of Lancaster, Laburnum Cottage is a Grade II listed, semi-detached farmhouse that has been lovingly furnished providing a welcoming home from home. Whilst it offers comforts such as a contemporary bathroom, Smart TV and Wi-Fi, the owners have retained many of its original features including flagstone floors, exposed stone work, fireplaces and a stone sink in the kitchen. There is a supermarket and pub serving food within a 2-minute walk from the property.
There are plenty of great walks in the area, and the property is just a 10-minute drive away from a popular cycle route. There are several golf courses within a few miles, as well as many attractions to visit nearby including Williamson Park, with its Edwardian butterfly house.
Apart from a multitude of shops, bars, cafés and restaurants, Lancaster also has its own castle, as well as several museums, galleries and theatres. The countryside surrounding Lancaster is truly beautiful with lots of lovely walks, pretty villages and welcoming country inns scattered all around the neighbouring Lune Valley, Ribble Valley and Forest of Bowland, an Area of Outstanding Natural Beauty. Thanks to its proximity to the motorway network, this is also a great touring base. A half hour drive will take you into the south Lakes and Blackpool is only 40 minutes away. Beach 22 miles. Absolutely fantastic. Could not fault anything with this location . Kitchen was everything required. Lounge and dining room very comfortable . Wonderful bathroom and beds were beyond soft and cozy. Cold weather prevented any real time in the garden but looked very well kept and great for the summer.
