Situated between the Dordogne and Lot valleys, this renovated property, with air-conditioning, is well placed for exploring these two quite distinct regions of France. Labastide-Murat, 8km, has all the facilities you might need during your stay, as well as an outdoor market every first and third Monday of the month, and a farmers’ market every Sunday during July and August. It is a lively market town with cafés, restaurants and events throughout the summer months. Gourdon, 18km, is a medieval bastide town and has a weekly Saturday morning market, as does Cahors, 43km, which is famous for its Valentré Bridge and wines. Places to visit include the caves of Pech-Merle, 30km, Saint-Cirq-Lapopie, 44km, Rocamadour, 23km, and the Gouffre de Padirac, 30km. There is canoeing and kayaking on both rivers, and endless possibilities for hiking, cycling and horse riding. The house has its original bread oven, which is still in use by the owner using flour milled at the Moulin Fortifié de Cougnaguet, 22km, which is in itself worth a visit. Shop 8km, restaurant 4km.

Approximate distance to Brive-Souillac airport is 51 km.
