The property is in a small hamlet of three houses, just outside the village of Carnac-Rouffiac, in the beautiful landscape of the Lot region, where you can walk for miles directly from the house. Sauzet, 7km, is the nearest village with a shop and a restaurant. Cahors has all the services you could need, as well as an outdoor market on weekends, a medieval centre and the Pont Valentré bridge. It is also renowned for its wine, and there are many opportunities to taste the wines and other gastronomic specialities of the region. 11km north of the property is the Lot River Valley where you can rent canoes and kayaks, take boat rides, swim and explore the many medieval villages like Luzech, 15km, and Puy l’Evêque, 22km. Lauzerte, 23km south, is known as one of the ’most beautiful villages in France’, as is Saint-Cirq-Lapopie, 52km, which would make an excellent outing. Shop and restaurant 7km.
