This spacious holiday home is the perfect base to explore the nearby city of Aix-en-Provence, where there are many interesting things to see and do.

This beautiful holiday home, with a private outdoor swimming pool, is ideally located not far from the city centre of Aix-en-Provence. The interior of the holiday rental is bright and cosy, and offers a large terrace for meals al fresco, and a pleasant garden in which to relax in. Discover the art and history of Aix-en-Provence, and stroll under the plane trees of the renowned Cours Mirabeau to see the famous Rotonde fountain and the Saint Sauveur Cathedral. Enjoy the musical performances at the Festival of Lyric Art, held in the courtyard of the Archbishop’s palace. For lovers of art, beautiful exhibitions are organised throughout the year in the Caumont Centre d’Art or enjoy a day shopping in the many chic boutiques in the town. For ultimate relaxation, visit the beautiful spa located in the centre of town or enjoy a game of golf on one of the many local courses. Sample the delicious Provencal specialities at the many fantastic local restaurants; do not miss the famous Calissons! For an exciting evening out on the town, visit the casino or one of the many nightclubs. Take a trip to Marseille for a day, to stroll on the beautiful Vieux Port or discover the Museum of European and Mediterranean Civilisations and the Villa Méditerranée, a contemporary research centre with an underwater conference room.     The cottage was not very well cleaned. We paid extra for cleaning. The toilet was dirty and the ice maker gave brown ice from the fridge. It is advertised as the owner living above and he doesn't. The outside space was full of weeds and even had a motorbike in. There was water damage stains on the ceiling and one night we had water coming in. The heating and hot water runs that flat upstairs so you cannot have full control over either as they complain about you altering it. We had to have the heating on day and night in April. The location was fantastic, only a short walk from town. If the house had a little work and wasn't so dated it would be fantastic. Oh and you could control the heating and the house had correct soundproofing so you could not hear the people above like they were in the room next to you up to midnight. The people above were not loud, no wild parties but you could hear them talking at normal volume.

    Response on behalf of the agency; We’re very sorry to hear that your stay was not satisfactory. We’ve been in contact with the owner and the cleaning issues will be more closely monitored to ensure the house remains perfectly clean. The ice machine has been tested and it functions correctly. Unfortunately after very heavy rain the grass was slightly overgrown but be assured that the garden is maintained on a regular basis and after the heavy rain the owner used weed killer to eliminate this problem. The owner has since had the water damage stains removed so this is no longer an issue. Regarding the issues with heating, it’s a shame you didn’t contact the owner as he would have gladly intervened to adjust this. The owner has taken on some renovations recently to make the house more soundproof. We hope your next stay is more pleasant and please in future when you encounter problems during your stay, don’t hesitate to contact the owner or person in charge at the time.
