The cottage could be lovely. Requires a good clean and new mattress and at the very least a decent shower. Saying all that we found Michelle to be very charming.

On arriving at the house we were met by the owner, who gave us a quick look around the house, took our 96 euro deposit for cleaning and electricity and then went off to Lannion for the night. After he had left we had a time for a good look around the house and found it was very dirty and grimy and in a bad state of disrepair. The following are just a few examples of what we found: there were pet hairs all over the underblanket on the bed and also on the bath mat; the shower room was dirty and had not been cleaned at all with ingrained dirt and stains both on the sink ledge, shelf and in the shower itself; the toilet seat was broken and had been crudely glued back together; the tiling on the shower walls had been botched together with a hotch potch of tiles and there was two inches of a six inch screw sticking out of the wall in the shower enclosure; basically the whole room was unusable (there were no photos of the shower room on the internet which if there had of been may have changed our minds about booking); the oven in the kitchen was filthy with a layer of solid grease on the bottom; the crockery and cupboards it was in were again dirty and some looked as though it had not been touched for months; the radiators were filthy with muck accumulating in the slats and again had obviously not been cleaned for some length of time; the windows in the house had been crudely sealed. These are just a fewer examples but basically the house was dirty and in such a state of disrepair to the point of being uninhabitable. The house was very depressing and certainly not the place where you could spend a relaxing holiday. The property was in an unacceptable state and we were moved to a different accommodation. That we had been asked for a cleaning charge in advance was a further insult as the house had obviously not been cleaned for a while and makes you wonder what the 30 euro cleaning charge is actually used for. I had difficulty in getting my deposit back from the owner who was quite abusive about our not accepting the accommodation and was reluctant to return our deposit. I would advise people to steer well clear of this property.
