A great location and cosy cottage. Brilliant if you want to head into York, bus stops right outside the door, local pub friendly and welcoming and handy spar shop for bits and bobs! If you want to do lots of cooking then be aware there is not a great selection of cooking pans, there is also no wifi at the cottage, which could be just what you need to get away from it all!

A warm comfortable cottage and we will return but we were slightly disappointed with the quality of the towels. More attention needed with the dusting!!!!

Clean and tidy cottage. Very warm considering cold February weather. Easy access to York P&R. Needed a frying pan (very minor point). Would definitely stay again and would recommend. Ideal for exploring York and surrounding area. Lovely pub food nearby and convenient store just a minutes walk away.

Due to weather had to reduce our stay from two nights to one. Nice cosy cottage and for the price ok. Great Pub with good menu a few minutes walk away. Easy access to park and ride into York.

Nice warm cottage with comfortable sofas and large television. Neighbours very friendly. Good location for trips to York on the Park and Ride and Bridlington. Good walking country - spectacular scenery at Fridaythorpe. Some of the crockery in the kitchen could be cleaner and had to clean the handles of the kitchen units as they were sticky. Most kitchen items were there but could only find two pans - a frying pan would be useful. There is no private garden - rear courtyard is shared with next door neighbour. This was not a problem but was not mentioned in the cottage description, and access to the rear parking is through a narrow archway which could be a problem for larger cars.
