They enjoy a peaceful secluded setting in the countryside set in the 3-acre grounds of the owners’ home, which includes a landscaped garden, woodland area and paddock, along with micro pigs. The holiday cottages each have their own garden or patio area, and are ideally situated for exploring Hereford and the black and white villages to the north, Ross-on-Wye, the Forest of Dean and the Wye Valley to the east, and Hay-on-Wye, the Brecon Beacons, Black Mountains and Offas Dyke to the west.

Hereford is 7 miles away, and hosts plenty of shops, bars, restaurants and coffee shops. A must visit is Hereford Cathedral built in 1079. Steeped in history, it houses the Mappa Mundi, a medieval map of the world.

For the more adventurous, why not try canoeing on the River Wye, 11 miles away. There are village pubs locally serving good food. Shops and pubs 2½ miles.

We spent a couple of nights in this comfortable and warm cottage during an extremely windy and rainy weekend. The setting was lovely and on a sunny day I am sure there would have been a fantastic view of the surrounding hills. Our hosts were very friendly and welcoming and we would certainly recommend this cottage.

A lovely cosy property in a gorgeous location. Would need access to laundry facilities if staying longer than a week. Otherwise it was perfect for our needs.

Owners were lovely. Couldn’t do enough for you. Just the job for a few days away.

It is a very nice cottage well equipped and comfy. It suited us as it was quite isolated and quite although only a few short miles to Hereford and Ross
