This beautifully restored church lies amidst rolling hills and lush countryside in the stunning northern Highlands of Scotland.

Kirk House is an outstanding restoration of a former 19th-century Scottish Free Church. Built of stone, the exterior of this original Victorian church has been completely preserved, offering no hint of the incredible transformation within. Award-winning Scottish architects have designed an interior that has resulted in an ultra-modern contemporary space, which maximises light and height to create the ultimate in modern living. The main door opens onto an entrance vestibule, off which there is a wet room with a shower and toilet. The kitchen/dining room is open plan and has been completed to an exceptionally high specification, including two ovens, a 5-ring induction hob, two fridges and a coffee making machine. A feature wood burner in the dining area with comfortable chairs gives a living room atmosphere. A fascinating corridor with floor to ceiling shelving houses books, objects of art, vintage Scottish-themed comic postcards, and an extensive collection of carefully chosen DVDs. This leads to two beautifully presented double bedrooms and a well-appointed guest bathroom. Solid wood stairs lead up to the main living room. This superb room has a floor to ceiling window that drinks in the light and emphasises the height and space contained within. There is a 50” television and a desk for a laptop or map reading, to plan the next day’s excursion. The master bedroom is on this floor; a stunning room with a 6’ bed, dressing room and adjoining bathroom.
Kirk House is situated on the main trunk road that leads from Inverness in the east to Ullapool or the Isle of Skye in the west. Whilst not overlooked in any way, it provides easy access to the north, south, east or west. The surrounding area is well known for a wealth of outdoor pursuits as well as unspoilt scenery in all directions. Golf, walking, climbing, mountain biking, sailing, kayaking and fishing are all enjoyed locally. There are good local services in nearby Dingwall, Strathpeffer and Inverness, the capital of the Highlands. Beach 25 miles. Shop, pub and restaurant 6 miles.
