We had a lovely relaxing stay at Kingfisher Cottage - it was very clean, the welcome bottle of wine was a very nice touch. We loved the hot tub too but felt it could have been a little more private as there are a few cars/people that pass by. Generally the cottage is well equipped - the cottage can get quite warm though so a fan would be a handy addition.

We loved the cottage itself and the hot tub. The location was quiet as well. However the fishing advertised was out of season-fine however they isn’t actually anywhere locally you could fish easily due to the really steep banks. The Cottage said dog friendly however on arrival there were a lot of rules pertaining to the dog. One of which was he can’t be left alone in the property even in a crate. Which means we took the crate for no reason. This was just so we could maybe go out for dinner one night but we were unable. Also the local dog walks aren’t very far at all unless you drive to them. The only local amenities is a small co op everything else is a 10/15 min drive. Also there was broken glass over the table on arrival and the floors were a little dirty (not swept). Like I say overall nothing huge but a few little things that could be approved upon.

We came away over the Easter bank holiday weekend to enjoy a weekend without the children and we couldn’t of asked for a better place to stay. The house was done out to the highest standard they provided everything we needed and more from an iron, hair dryer to knifes and forks and everything else you could of thought about in the kitchen. Really really impressed with this little cottage and it’s surroundings the hot tub was lovely too. Hopefully we will sneak away again here for another break away without the kids. Really impressed that they allowed our little dog too. Couldn’t recommend more.

A great weekend away! I would definitely recommend! The only bad thing was the mattress was very hard and uncomfortable but that's just our preference. Everything else was 100% and I would definitely stay again.
