Great lodge to use a base to explore lakes and dales. Ensuite rooms allows everyone their own space and time rather than usual having to queue or plan bathroom rota before everyone can leave for days activities! Spacious and well fitted out - real luxury compared to small terrace house at home.

We had a wonderful stay in this beautiful, and well appointed house. Every detail had been considered and catered for by the owners. We cannot recommend Kilross Lodge more highly and will definitely return.

We've had a lovely holiday here, the cottage was perfect for us including my elderly parents. Although in a very small village, it's not far from Carnforth where there's a good supply of supermarkets (and the station where Brief Encounter was filmed). Back at the cottage, the nearby pub was a bonus. Well placed for trips to the Lakes and Morecambe, and a ride home reminiscing through the Yorkshire Dales.
