Nestling in the tiny hamlet of Littlebeck, this beautiful holiday cottage is set within its own gardens. Wonderful little villages hiding away deep in the valleys of the North York Moors National Park await discovery, with walkways and cycle tracks leading to many inns, tearooms and restaurants, where traditional Yorkshire cuisine is served by friendly locals. A step back in time can be taken by visiting quaint unspoilt smugglers’ coves such as Staithes, Robin Hoods Bay and Runswick - as well as the port of Whitby, with its colourful harbour (from where Captain James Cook set sail), old cobbled streets filled with antique and curio shops, and a 3-mile sandy beach. The ancient city of York is also just an hour’s drive. Maximum 6 guests including infants. Shop 3 miles.

The cottage is in a fantastic location with stunning views. No shops or pubs nearby but that's what makes it so quiet and peaceful. The cottage was very well equipped and comfortable with a homely feel. Will definitely book again

We had a lovely relaxing week away taking in all the views of the surrounding area, the water falls are worth a visit and a trip to whitby, Scarborough and Filey beach are a must. We don't know where the week went as we could of done with another week. If you want a meal out we can highly recommend the plough pub, they were friendly and the food is amazing. If you want fresh meat or a bakers go to the village in sleights the meat in the butchers is amazing. Our only niggle was we couldn't get onto the WiFi as the password didn't work and we couldn't use the barbecue as it had not been cleaned the last time it was used and had mould growing on it. The oven could do with a clean as well. The heating in the wooden floored bedroom didn't work but left a note about it for the cleaner when we left.

Kelp house is located in a quiet valley overlooking a small church. There's a waterfall a mile or two up the valley which makes a nice afternoon walk. The garden is steep but well maintained. We didn't have any children along so the rickety playhouse wasn't a problem for us, and we didn't have the right weather to try out the BBQ. We were there at the end of the season and a few things were a little worn, but everything worked and we didn't encounter any serious problems. The directions to the house could have been better, but a quick look on google maps resolved which house we wanted. For future visitors, it's the one with the postbox outside.
