Keldergat is a very unusual name for this Whitby apartment. It derives from the full name ‘Skeldergate’. This was the name of a second world war cargo ship, which seeking a safe passage home amongst hostile sea routes, chose to remove the S and E from the name to become ‘Keldergat’, then hoisting a Swedish flag and returning safely home unnoticed. The property is situated on three floors and is deceptively larger than expected from the outside.  It has recently undergone a full refurbishment into a modern, spacious apartment positioned in an enviable position right in the heart of Whitby. The décor and furnishings have been carefully selected and all the rooms have been finished off to an extremely high standard with quality fixtures and fittings. With the bustling town centre right on your doorstep and plenty of amenities to suit all tastes you could just leave your car and relax and enjoy the many things this beautiful town has to offer.

Brilliant family house for holiday.. lots of steps would not suit elderly or infirm people… only downfall was parking but this was managed and free when you could get it

Fantastic apartment in the center. Has everything you need & comfortable. Cleanliness unfortunately let the apartment down. Could and should have been cleaner especially during Covid. Would recommend and would return.
