Slightly further afield is Goodwood, famous for motor and horse racing. Fontwell Races, the Weald and Downland Open Air Museum and the sailing village of Bosham are also within easy reach. Discover the South Downs National Park, or enjoy golf, horse riding, cycling, fishing and sailing. The cottage could do with sound proofing the traffic noise was really bad, the double bed gave me a bad back, and in my view the parking needs sorting out, the paying guest should get the parking space with the drop kerb not the van driver that was staying next door, wouldn't do a small car much good having to keep going over the high kerb, other then that it was ok the host was very kind and helpful, but Im sorry to say we will not be returning.

the cottage was beautiful ,clean and had everything you needed, parking was a little dicey, had to reverse onto or off a busy road,on a corner. But the road niose was the main concern, from early morning to late evening, this is the reason i will not be visiting again.

Response on behalf of the Owner; All reviews of our lovely cottage are appreciated and help us to improve the stay for our future guests. We are very sorry that you found the traffic noise affected your stay adversely. The cottage, being an historical roadside inn, on the main road from Chichester to Selsey, gives good access to the sea, the city and local well known nature reserves with beautiful walks. We are thrilled that you have scored us so highly for the cottage, cleanliness 10, comfort and equipment and local amenities 9, value for money 8 and location 7. Thank you for taking the time to review your stay in the Jolly Fisherman Cottage.

Lovely Cottage. Ideal as a base for the area, comfortable and excellent facilities. Only negative is the traffic which others have mentioned. Not a problem in the evenings but can wake you early. We would use the cottage again.
