We took our 3 year old twins here and couldn’t fault it! Had such a lovely time! Place was clean and very homely. We had prosecco, biscuits and flowers on arrival which was a very nice touch. Cottage was a fantastic location with everything a walk or a short drive away. We also made good use of the complimentary swimming pool! So much for us all to do as a family and would definitely recommend it.

We enjoyed the cottage and the town windermere. For us to hire the cottage again, there would need to be improvements , such as..... there was only one bath towel and one hand towel per person ( both of which was faded towards the graying and very thin), the living and dining area's need freshened up with a coat of emulsion paint, the dining chairs need upholstered to the point you sink into them and then making it uncomfortable to dine. The bistro set at the entrance need painted, which would make it inviting rather than an eye-sore ate the entrance. The bedrooms are spotless and welcoming and the bathroom is beautiful and modern. Kitchen facilities are perfect.

Love Bowness but the Cottage was down a narrow road parking is very poor the parking area as a very tight entrance due to other cars parking near the entrance and the car park itself was overgrown with a massive conifer hanging over + other rubbish dumped near the log store

    Response from:

Response on behalf of the owner; Thank you for your comments regarding the cottage. As the owner I feel very fortunate to offer two off road parking spaces, a rare luxury in Bowness. I can only apologise if these did not meet your needs. I was surprised and disappointed to see low scores for the facilities and cleanliness. This is the first of its kind. If you could spare the time, I would encourage you to contact Cottages.com with your specific concerns so I can address these for future guests.
