Within walking distance of beach, lovely local pub with good beer and food. Cottage was well equiped and suited our needs well (Family of 5). About 10minutes drive through narrow roads which may put off some people but fine if you are comfortable driving on small country roads of which there are loads in the South West of course!

Pros: The cottage was cosy and beautiful and the beds were really comfortable. It was also really lovely to find a cake, pint of milk and tea provided on our arrival; a lovely touch. Cons: A previous reviewer mentioned about the shared access: the neighbour was friendly and not at all intrusive but the gates to the side of the property and at the top of the garden were regularly left open. This wasn’t a problem for us but I can see how this might be an issue for someone with a dog. However, the cat droppings were an issue. Even upon arrival, the garden was littered with droppings. Despite cleaning the shoes, rackets and balls under the outside tap, there was still a lingering smell left in the kitchen when we bought the items in. As a result, we had to ask the children not to use the garden which was a real shame. This is why we wouldn’t stay again.

    Response from:

Response on behalf of the owner; We have become aware of this problem, although not quite to the extent described, and have now ensured that our gardener, on his weekly visits, liberally scatters a strong cat repellent throughout the garden - and on our last visit this approach seems to be working well.
