I was delighted with Island Cottage. Not quite a holiday - I was looking after my 8 year old grandson, who loved the cottage, and cooking for a little workforce working on my sons' house up in the hills, but it is a really lovely place and I appreciated the spacious rooms and the lovely garden - and the very well appointed kitchen! Views over the bay were breath-taking. The owner was a delight to meet and talk to. Beds were extremely comfortable - something we really enjoyed because we needed our sleep. Heating was efficient and most welcome. I hope to return later in the year with my husband; there is so much I'd like to visit in the area.

A lovely. peaceful cottage, with a welcoming and helpful owner. Enchanting walks around the back lanes, and not too far to drive to Sheep's Head Penisula, Glengariff and other West Cork attractions. We didn't mind walking into Bantry but it's quite a distance - over 2 miles into the centre with it's great restaurants and pubs.
