Invertrossachs Country House, approached by a single track tarmac road, is set in a most fantastic location in the heart of Loch Lomond and The Trossachs National Park, which is an Area of Outstanding Natural Beauty. Surrounded by hills, lochs and glens, this area has been attracting visitors for generations because of its tranquillity and beauty. Queen Victoria chose this site for her private visit to The Trossachs in 1869 and planted a tree in the grounds of the house which can be seen today. Built in 1911 as an Edwardian shooting lodge on the hillside overlooking Loch Venachar, Invertrossachs Country House is now a family home, and this apartment is located in a private wing of the owners’ house. The Rob Roy Apartment has an open plan living area with views over the grounds and loch, and two bedrooms.
For guests wanting a relaxing hideaway in a peaceful and secluded environment, away from the hustle and bustle of daily life, this is the perfect location at any time of the year. In this privileged location, guests are able to explore the 24-acre grounds with direct access to the loch shore, perfect for fishing, and enjoy lovely woodland walks. A great area for guests who enjoy nature, the estate is a haven for wildlife, with deer, pine martens, otter and many different wild birds, flora and fauna.
For the more adventurous, this area is famous for the variety of outdoor activities, with cycle trails, hill walking, sailing, canoeing, pony trekking, fishing and golf all surrounded by spectacular scenery. The popular tourist town of Callander is within short driving distance, 6 miles, and has good places to eat, coffee shops, galleries and tourist shops, and also hosts regular events including the highland games. For guests who want to explore further afield, Stirling is only a 40-minute drive, and Perth, Edinburgh and Glasgow are an hour away. Gleneagles can be reached within 45 minutes and St Andrews within 2 hours. Supermarket home deliveries can be scheduled online. Shop, pub and restaurant 6 miles.

Lovely quiet apartment, with stunning views over the Loch. Really clean and tidy, quite a few rules but that is what keeps so nice for everyone to use. The road to the apartment is quite long! This means that local amenities are some distance away, but we loved our week and would go back.

Fantastic apartment in incredible location - not many places you can see red squirrels whilst having your breakfast. Ability to just walk or cycle from the apartment was great ! Owners super friendly with great advice on where to go and where best walks were. Went to Stirling and Edinburgh on day trips which was really easy. The apartment is well equipped and perfect for our family (2 adult and 2 boys (8 and 10) - enough space and even had a BBQ one evening sitting on the terrace ! Would highly recommend this apartment - is just an amazing and beautiful location ! Thanks for amazing week !

Absolutely fantastic rental. The area is spectacular and the apartments so remote you really do feel away from the day to day grind! The photos of the apartment do not do if justice- spotlessly clean and with everything we needed. The host was really welcoming and went the extra mile in helping us with local suggestions and ideas. We loved that you could do some Great walks straight from The estate and would recommend hiring bikes there too. We loved our time here!
