This very well-equipped, cosy and comfortable, detached, single-storey holiday property sits in a cul-de-sac in a peaceful, yet convenient, village setting. Boasting glorious views of the Craigellachie Nature Reserve and the Cairngorm Mountains from its south-facing back garden, but only a short easy stroll from the centre of Aviemore. The enclosed sunny garden is perfect for sitting out and enjoying the panoramic views.Aviemore is a vibrant all year round holiday destination at the heart of the action in the fabulous Cairngorms National Park and is a wonderful base for enjoying a wide range of summer and winter sports and attractions to suit all ages. Nearby activities include superb walking and mountain biking on the renowned Rothiemurchus Estate, Glenmore Forest Park and the Speyside Way. There is excellent climbing in the Cairngorm Mountains; bird watching at the famous Boat of Garten Osprey Centre; watersports at the award-winning Loch Morlich beach and Loch Inch; pony-trekking, and skiing and snowboarding at Scotland’s foremost snow sports centre. Trout fishing is available all year at the Rothiemurchus Estate and salmon fishing on the River Spey (seasonal – licence required) is less than a mile from the cottage. Golf is readily available at the eight golf courses in the area.The funicular railway up Cairngorm Mountain, the Strathspey Steam Railway, the Highland Wildlife Centre, the Highland Folk Museum and the Landmark Centre are also popular attractions nearby, as well as Britain’s only freely roaming reindeer herd which can be visited against the stunning backdrop of Glenmore Forest Park and the mountains. Swimming is available at the Aviemore Highland Resort Leisure Centre, as well as water slides, wave pool and a cinema. Whisky distillery visits and the world famous Loch Ness are also popular with guests. Shop ½ mile, pub and restaurant 500 yards.
