Visit Levens Hall, Sizergh Castle, the seaside spot of Arnside and drive along the coast road to Barrow-in-Furness. Or why not visit the quirky village of Cartmel, for its racecourse and famous sticky toffee pudding and many traditional pubs? Head up the road past Newby Bridge and visit the South Lakes Safari Zoo or follow the road to Bowness along the side of the largest lake in England, Lake Windermere.
