This barn conversion sits in 3 acres and commands great views over the surrounding countryside of Hampshire.

This magnificent, 4000-square foot, detached barn conversion sits in 3 acres and commands great views over the surrounding countryside. The very large open-plan living space is the heart of the property and is a great place for families and friends to gather together, whether for a family holiday or a special occasion. This stylish holiday home has been finished to a very good standard, with features and attention to detail abound throughout, offering both endless space and comfort with green oak beams which frame the large windows, creating a light airy feel. The kitchen is large and well-equipped, perfect for an evening meal around the table with loved ones, complimented by extensive views over lush pastures.
Hampshire could be called the birthplace of England, with a beautiful landscape encompassing seaside resorts, chalk downs, open pasture and deep woodland, not to mention the birthplace of the armed forces. You can explore the region’s influence on English culture and industry through the history of Austen, Dickens and Brunel - three of Hampshire’s most famous former residents. Alternatively, appreciate the land itself as Hyde Barn sits on the edge of the New Forest National Park, where you can see the free-roaming ponies, donkeys and cattle and enjoy off-road walking, riding and cycling. Enjoy the perfect balance between a secluded break and easy access to all the local attractions and amenities, as the quaint market town of Fordingbridge is close by with its famous stone bridge and fine arches, plenty of shops, pubs, a café and riverside location to enjoy. The coastline with its Blue Flag beaches at Bournemouth and Poole is within easy reach, as is the city of Salisbury with its medieval cathedral. There are many places of interest for the family to visit, including Marwell Zoological Park, New Forest Otter and Owl Wildlife Park or a day out at Beaulieu Motor Museum to name but a few places of interest nearby. Further afield, but worth the trip are Monkey World and the Tank Museum near Wool, Southampton with its maritime history and West Quay shopping centre. There is much to visit further afield, in particular the unspoilt countryside of Dorset, famous World Heritage Jurassic Coast from West Bay, Bridport and on to Weymouth with its superb scenery and coastal walking. Spend a day at Lyme Regis with its harbour, renowned Cobb, beach and shops and enjoy fossil hunting, boating, swimming and fishing. There are many historic houses to visit in particular Forde Abbey and Gardens, or family attractions such as Pecorama, the quarries at Beer, or inland at the Fleet Air Arm Museum at Yeovilton which is an adventure in itself. Shop 1 mile, pub 1/4 mile.

Well coordinated with the hosts. Beautiful space, lots of room but also very homely. Can't wait to return! Showers started to go cold after a lot of people had used them. Also, upstairs gets a bit chilly so wrap up warm (although we did arrive in snow so it would have been cold anyway!).

The cottage was lovely and situated right in the heart of the forest which is great. However there were a couple of things that need fixing in the cottage in order to make it better. The bottom oven doesn’t heat up and the oven overall does need a deep clean. One of the single beds in the twin room has a slat missing reducing the comfort quite considerably and the dishwasher requires a new bottom tray as the plates do not stack properly as the clip has broken. Apart from those minor things, it was a pleasant stay.

We thoroughly enjoyed our stay at the Hyde Barn. Ideal for a group getaway. Well equipped and comfortable. Just a couple of niggles: mixing bowls for baking, jugs for milk, juice etc. Only 1 large glass one in evidence. Down stairs bedroom lovely, but rather marred by fumes from boiler in the next door utility room. Having made those points we really enjoyed our stay.

We had a brilliant family holiday at Hyde Barn. 3 generations (aged 2-76) all enjoyed the space and stunning location. The children had plenty of room to play both indoors and outside in secure grounds. The barn is very well equipped with everything you need and more. The beds are comfortable and the fittings are of a high standard. It is rather pricey, especially during the school holidays, but I guess that's what the market dictates. Can't wait to go back...!

What a fantastic place! Stayed with large family, adults, kids and dogs to celebrate a special birthday. We loved it! Very well equipped, lots of space for everyone both inside and out! The kids loved running about and seeing all the horses in the adjacent field. Both Debbie and Sarah were very helpful, such a nice touch to get chocolate cake and flowers on arrival. We had a great time playing an array of songs on the piano. Comfortable beds and powerful showers. Weather was fantastic but we all commented that this house would be great in Winter too.

Fabulous, fully equipped comfortable barn with loads of space inside & out. Only comment is that wifi shows good signal but simply doesn't give good connection despite assurances that it would. 'You are in the country' is not an excuse.

Very spacious and clean accommodation. Ideal for large family gatherings or four couples sharing. Fittings and fixtures of very high standard. Only one minor criticism back garden could do with a bit of landscaping.
