There was a delightful welcome pack on arrival (bread, butter, beer and honey). The bread was crusty and tasty (I presume it came from the local artisan baker in the village). The kitchen had all the equipment, etc., that we needed and, when required, a flat-screen TV with satellite programs and a DVD player. The small verandah outside ahd a table and chairs, which we were able to utilise whilst enjoying the view over the allotments to the hills beyond as well as a glass of wine. The bed and bedroom were comfortable as was the living space. We had a lovely time there and would recommend it.

Amazing property, one of the nicest self catering properties we've stayed in. We had fantastic weather during our August bank holiday stay so ate outside in the garden or used the balcony. Peaceful location but not too far from some nice days out, National Trust properties in the area, 40mins drive away to the Cotswalds and 25 mins to Banbury which is a nice town. We parked there and took train to Oxford for the day, £14 return for both of us. We will definitely return. Mary Jayne is a nice host and she left us a welcome tray of honey, beer and bread from the local bakery. Thanks also for the bottle of fizz in the fridge! The only thing we didn't have with us was bikes, so to have some mountain bikes at the property to loan was the only thing that was missing for us as their is a bike shed.

Overall was goog but seemed expensive for what is essentially a one bedroom apartment with tricky access and overlooking a large set of allotments. Also yes there is a pub a few doors down but it should be made clearer it does not provide meals just drink most days of the month (June anyway). Location is a fair drive from recognised 'beauty spots' although Banbury and Stratford are easily accessed and meet most needs.

We really liked the village setting of Hurdlemakers Loft, the location was great for visiting the Cotswolds, Oxford and many attractive villages. Pleasant village walks from the gate of the property. The cottage was compact, and in particular the bedroom. The 'Loft' was finished to a high standard, and had a secluded garden looking out to the countryside. The location was very peaceful and relaxing.

One of the nicest cottages we have stayed in. Lovely village setting and very quiet. It was within easy reach of many NT properties and other places of interest. The cottage had everything we needed for a special break. Would highly recommend.

Well equipped property, warm and cosy. Great location for visiting the many towns and attractions in The Cotswolds. Unfortunately the nearby pub was closed for refurbishment, but Shipston on Stour ony 3 miles away with several good places to eat. Overall a great stay, and hopefully book again soon!
