It was a very spacious and well equipped cottage. The location was excellent for the coast and visiting venues. It was easy to find as well. The owners were there when we arrived and left. There was plenty of information available about the area.

A delightful two night stay whilst visiting the Gresham's hockey festival. Perfect location and a very comfortable stay, with a warm welcome. The little things made a big difference - milk in the fridge, tea & coffee available and the heat on for our arrival. Very dog friendly as well. We would definitely stay again and much thanks to Mary for making our stay so enjoyable. Oh, and it is great to have Joey saying hello in the morning from his stable across the way!

The cottage was very spacious & comfortable & was lovely to see the horses from the window. We had a warm welcome from the owner who had added some very thoughtful touches. We will definitely go there again.

Nice place on a working farm with horses, fair amount of traffic on road outside. We very much enjoyed our holiday in North Norfolk.

Lovely cottage, very spacious and comfortable. The only thing I would say is that it could do with a stand in shower. Beautiful bathroom with corner bath and hand held shower. We are elderly people and can no longer get in a bath. Bonus point was that I didn't have to wash up for 2 weeks as there was a dish washer in the well equipped kichen

Response on behalf of the owner; Thank you for your comments. We have noted the stand in shower.

Being next to the road it was very noisy and the large vehicles blocked out the light. The property needs some TLC to bring it back up to standard. Carpet in bedroom dirty. Bin in bedroom not emptied from previous guests. Blinds in kitchen and bathroom didn't work. Sofa uncomfortable as springs broken under seat. Cutlery and crockery hadn't been checked from previous guests. The bathroom and one of the bedroom doors did not catch on the latch so didn't shut properly. No instructions for any of the kitchen appliances or wash powder/dish washer tablets. Only 1 key. Toilet seat pad missing breaking the seal on the seat. We were advised that they had given us some tea coffee etc but it was in storage jars and the coffee was solid in the container. The milk was in the fridge and fresh! The small amount of washing up liquid had been diluted. It was in a good position for touring north Norfolk but the busy road made it impossible to sit in the outside seating area which was a small table and chairs outside the kitchen window of the owners house and on the road side. Not exactly a peaceful retreat.

    Response from:

Response on behalf of the owner:- I was disappointed to receive this review and can only apologise that this was necessary. I have had health issues over the last few weeks so on that occasion I think I must have given too much faith in the person cleaning and preparing the property for me. Large vehicles travel by and I can do nothing about that, but they do not really stay long enough to block out the light. I had asked for the carpet in the bedroom to be cleaned and had purchased Vanish Carpet Cleaner for this purpose. It is also on my list to replace the carpet. I have had it measured, but due to ill health have not been and chosen a replacement yet. The bin in bedroom not being emptied, crockery and cutlery not being checked, I admit is not acceptable. The toilet seat, sofa, door catches and bathroom and kitchen curtains will be looked at and replaced/repaired as soon as possible. The instruction manuals were in a drawer, but my cleaner had put surplus leaflets of local attractions on top of them and they could not be seen. The table for outside is a comfortable four seater and I would point out that the window concerned is of a disused room and we hardly see any comings or goings of the cottage people because my kitchen is out to the rear of the main property. We usually do leave washing powder etc., but on this occasion it went awry and we are not obliged to do so as it is a self-catering property though we do apologise. We will do our upmost to correct any faults.
