Horseshoe Cottage is perfectly located for walking and cycling in the Cotswolds Area of Outstanding Natural Beauty.

Perfectly located on the village green in the pretty village of Swalcliffe in Oxfordshire. Horseshoe Cottage is a delightful 2 bedroom, Cotswold stone built terraced property with a stunning inglenook fireplace with a multi-fuel burner to cosy in front of after a full day exploring. It also boasts a lovely decking area to enjoy the sunny days overlooking the horse fields behind the property. Situated on the edge of the Cotswolds, an Area of Outstanding Natural Beauty, and between two local market towns of Shipston-on-Stour and Banbury, both only 15-minute drive away. Walkers will find many established footpaths that lead through the village and beyond, passing through some of the most magnificent scenery and unspoilt countryside. The local village pub is only a couple of doors down and serves excellent food including their famous Greek nights which is well worth pre-booking for.
Stratford-upon-Avon, William Shakespeare’s birthplace, is only a 10-mile drive, where you will find an abundance of restaurants, tea rooms, high street and independent shops, the Royal Shakespeare Theatre and other historic buildings. A little further afield, but still within easy driving distance, guests will be able to visit Stow-on-the-Wold, Oxford, Silverstone, Bicester shopping village, Chipping Norton, Warwick Castle, Woodstock and Blenheim Palace. Also an ideal base for visiting local National Trust properties including Althorpe and Sulgrave Manor. Horseshoe Cottages is a charming, well equipped cottage with lovely rural views. The cottage owners have gone the extra mile to create a comfortable and homely holiday home with quality interiors and everything that you could possibly need. The outside space is great for eating outdoors. We had a lovely peaceful break at Horseshoe cottage and would highly recommend.

Well equipped and comfortable cottage, small sun room for cloudy days and a patio to sit out on if the weather is fine. Pub a few steps away, very helpful owner.

Had a lovely 3 days at Horseshoe Cottage which was extremely well equipped with everything we needed and more. Spotlessly clean with good quality furnishings. Weather was chilly during our stay but it always felt warm as we entered the front door. The pub was very welcoming and served excellent food. We visited the restored village barn which was proudly shown to us by a knowledgeable local couple. An ideal location for a relaxing break.
