Welcome Cottages

A carefully curated collection of properties that offer high quality, good value accommodation in great locations across the UK, Ireland, France and Italy

Located close to many wonderful beaches, this property is the ideal base for a family seaside holiday.

Set in a peaceful lane on the edge of the village of Sedgeford, a designated Area of Outstanding Natural Beauty, Hops Cottage is the perfect place for a quiet relaxing holiday that is still close enough to lots of attractions and beaches. This terraced holiday cottage fronts the famous Peddars Way, which joins the historic North Norfolk Coastal Path which provides some breathtaking views of the area. Within easy reach of some of the most stunning beaches in the area, coast lovers will be spoilt for choice. Brancaster Beach is great for bracing walks in winter and sunny days in summer, Holkham Beach is so beautiful that it was used in a famous scene in ’Shakespeare in Love’ and Hunstanton Beach really does seem to go on for miles. Try and make time to take the coastal drive from Hunstanton to Wells-next-the-Sea, which sees a journey scattered with pretty villages, artisan shops, great places to eat and beaches to explore. While visiting Wells, explore the quaint quayside and the narrow gauge railway. Hunstanton itself, known as ’sunny hunny’ to the locals, provides lots of entertainment, including the Sealife Centre, a small funfair, traditional amusements and souvenir shopping. You will soon discover why Norfolk has been described as ’the bird watching capital of the UK’ as this part of the coastline is home to some wonderful marshes and wildlife centres. With great walks and cycle routes, stately homes, manor houses and lots of places to explore, you’ll be so glad you chose the quiet retreat that’s offered by Hops Cottage for your holiday. We have stayed in the village before as we love the area. The cottage was lovely and well equipped but as we had both experienced foot/ankle injuries over the previous few months, we were very conscious of the stairs which were tight and narrow - but it is a cottage and only to be expected!!

Thank you for our lovely stay at your cottage. Really well equipped. Lovely location. Really lovely feel for Christmas and thank you for your special touches like the bottle of bubbly and chocolates for Christmas. Very thoughtful. The only thing that I can say is that it is small and very cosy. We had a lovely time at the cottage and would definitely consider returning. The owner is very kind and helpful.

Fabulous short break with our cocker spaniel (his first trip to seaside). Felt at home the moment we walked in and wanted to stay the whole week! Kitchen was the bet stocked that I've ever stayed in. You'd never run out of crockery. You may need a degree to work out the underfloor heating controls but was so mild we didn't need it. Sadly didn't get to use the wood burner either so will have to return when it's cold. Great walks from the door and amazing beaches a short drive. Old Hunstanton free parking on the road by lighthouse and a fab dog friendly cafe. Great beach and lovely clifftop walk into town. Brancaster and Wells worth a visit too. Wonderful place to stay and nothing is too much trouble from owners.

A fantastic cottage which was perfect for us and our dog. Everything you could need was provided and the cottage itself was in a great location to explore North Norfolk. The local pub was also great for good and dog friendly. I would definitely recommend the cottage!

Hope Cottage was lovely, it had all we needed and more. Our dog loved it because it had a nice garden he could wonder round and there were plenty of nice walks too.
