This farmhouse annex property is a great base for exploring the wonderful Somerset countryside, set in the rural village of Weare, just outside the historic market town of Axbridge. It is perfect for families or couples, and the owner lives on-site. The property offers a kitchen/dining room with feature inglenook fireplace and French doors leading onto an enclosed spacious garden. There is a bedroom downstairs with twin beds. On the first floor is the living room with a large viewing window, here you can just sit back, relax and look out onto the breathtaking views over the Mendip Hills and Cheddar Gorge. Also on the first floor is the master bedroom.
This is a great property for visiting the many attractions Somerset has to offer, including Glastonbury, with its tor and abbey, and Wells, with its cathedral and The Bishop’s Palace. You can also visit the wonder of Cheddar Gorge and its caves, and not forgetting Wookey Hole. Bath is a short drive away with its famous abbey, Roman Baths and Thermae Spa, along with gorgeous Georgian architecture. If you are looking to explore slightly further afield, Longleat, with its safari park, Stonehenge and Avebury are all within a 1.5 hour car journey - and are always a great day out. Other local amnesties include: Beach 9 miles. Shop 1½ miles, pub and restaurant 1 mile.
