We absolutely loved the cottage, its grounds and the locale. The owners are extremely hospitable; their gardens are beautiful and their pets extremely friendly and very much part of the joy of the visit. A delightful welcome package of food and their own wine made us feel really at home. the cottage itself is lovely; it has preserved many of the characterful features while also ensuring that all mod cons have been provided. This was our fifth visit and we will definitely be going again next year. Special mention: I left some of my belongings behind and the owners left a message of reassurance and a promise to send them to me, which got to my home before I had returned: that's a level of care you don't find everywhere. The whole of Herefordshire is beautiful beyond words, quiet, friendly and unspoilt - particularly because it does not have the hordes that make the Cotswolds overcrowded, whilst it does have at least the same beauty.

A lovely, peaceful location, quite a rural are with narrow country lanes. The cottage was lovely and was made very welcome, looked forward to our nightly visits from three very boisterous black labs and a very naughty cat called Jason who brought us a present every night. There are plenty of places to see around the area and would recommend a visit to Eastnor Castle. Would stay at Hop Cottage again as it is one of the nicest that we have stayed in over the years, fully recommend it to other people.
