Nice property, a good location in Old Town Bideford - however it's opposite a pub that is very noisy every night, that incudes every weeknight, with patrons standing in the street and talking loudly until midnight, directly outside. Broken glasses on the road and pavement when we opened our front door. Luckily our kids had the back bedroom, so were undisturbed, but we struggled to get to sleep until they had cleared off. No respite. The house is in the process of being renovated and there was a boiler cupboard door which could have been hung or removed, instead of being leant up against the wall. We had young kids with us, so couldn't leave them unattended. The ground floor living room wasn't clean, with very dusty cushions on the sofa which we removed before sitting on it. The cleanliness of the rest of the property however was great, furnishing and facilities (including beach equipment) really good. Bedrooms clean and tidy, newly fitted kitchen with dishwasher very handy - but a surprising lack of a freezer, so no ice creams or frozen chips for the kids. Wouldn't recommend for those with kids or those who value their sleep.

The house was absolutely lovely with everything you needed even down to to a cupboard full of beach equipment/wetsuits etc. There was a bottle of wine along with cookies and milk in the welcome pack and even a treat for the dog. The house is in a perfect location right by the pannier market, a few minutes walk from the Tarka Trail, plenty of lovely local restaurants, the pub opposite very welcoming and great for our teenagers to play pool. We I would definitely stay again in this beautiful house.

A really cute and well equipped cottage in the centre of Bideford town with lots of independent shops and cafes within walking distance. Bathroom lovely and bedrooms small but comfortable. Walks and beaches are all really close by so you won't get bored. Only negative is noise coming from the pub opposite on Saturday night, but fine the rest of the week. Parking in the long term car park a few yards up the hill from the property costs £3.50 per day or £16 per week. I would be happy to stay there again.
