As a family holiday we enjoyed Homend Bank Cottage, but felt that there were one or two little touches that would have made the whole experience just that much better. What follows are NOT criticisms but 'observations' 1. When we arrived it was a cold day & the cottage felt cold & unwelcoming. If the central heating had been on from say lunchtime, and the house warm when we opened the door, then we would have felt more welcomed; 2. The fridge was not on, so we had to wait for it to cool before it did what it says on the tin - again turned on at lunchtime would have made it ready to use straight away; 3. There was no WELCOME pack from the owner, just a box of leaflets about local tourist venues. A Welcome pack/folder from the owner saying 'Hello' this is where you will find X & Y in the house etc. this is how the TV works (turning on the NETFLIX eventually proved useful!) etc. would have been good 4. We had to find towels in a wardrobe, when to have them already in each room would have seemed obvious. In some of the rooms with vanity sink, there was no soap dispenser - 50p from TESCO turns a 7 into an 8! 5. On the plus side, when we had a leaking cistern 48 hours before we left, the owner came straight away & armed with a length of fishing line! made a temporary repair & by the time we arrived back the following day, the plumber had been & all was well! 6. Overall, the cottage was good, but with a few little tweaks, it would become very good, and even head toward outstanding. I hope that these observations are taken in the spirit in which they have been written. Would we come back again? Most definitely YES, and would hope to see some of our observations in practice. Thank you.

Beautiful cottage in a lovely setting. Could be improved with a tumble dryer for getting washing dried. Also a little chilly in the sitting room this time of year due to wind coming in doors, but it is an old cottage so I guess you expect that. Overall great value for money and the owners have put a lot of thought into making it feel like home. Would be a fabulous setting for a summer break and the views are amazing, so peaceful. Would definitely recommend this cottage!

Beautiful views from this cottage, peaceful and quiet. Owner very helpful. The fridge is a long way from the kitchen but we quickly became accustomed to it - no other snags at all, a lovely place to stay in.

Set in a beautiful location with superb views across the countryside/hills. We found the cottage very comfortable, spacious and well equipped. The garden was very spacious and enclosed, ideal for our dog and us to walk around. We were very lucky with the weather and was able to enjoy dining out in the garden, both morning and evening. Location good to look around Leominster, Malvern Hills, Ledbury, Hereford and Tewksbury. Great holiday all round.
