Milburn Cottage is a roomy and comfortable cottage situated in a beautiful location and we’ve thoroughly enjoyed our holiday stay there. Generally speaking the property was very clean but there were a few minor things like the smaller tables in the nest of tables hadn’t been wiped clean, the oven shelves had a lot of baked on spills and the baking tray I needed to use had been put away unwashed. Little considerations like liquid soap & a small hand towel for downstairs use would have been appreciated & a replacement kitchen bin liner. We were blessed by a surprise chocolate cake that had been left for us.

Very disappointed there were NO extras and just glad I’d brought soap! Shower was a disaster although bath was fine. Distinct lack of cutlery (FOUR tea spoons!) NO condiments and ONE loo roll in each bathroom. We arrived late on Friday and couldn’t get to the shop ‘til following morning. It has a lovely location and the log burner was super - but the Spartan nature of the place was not for me!
