Couldn't fault the location, it's quiet, peaceful and beautiful; but we found the accomodation gave us a few issues which resulted in us packing up and going home a day early. Firstly the king size bed, it's extremely hard and uncomfortable. I know others have commented on this, but we have a firm mattress at home so I though we'd be ok - I was wrong. Secondly, if you are short in height you won't be able to reach many of the windows or blinds, I'm 5ft 5" and couldn't reach the kitchen, bathroom one of the lounge windows and one of the bedroom windows. This cottage has extremely thick walls which means that from the inside you must reach over a window sill that's maybe 2ft deep and at chest height already, so it's impossible to reach a window lever that's half way up a window. I found this a problem in the warm weather especially in the kitchen. Thirdly the cottage was let down by the seating in the garden room, the sofa was really soft and worn, too soft to relax on for long and in good weather that's where you want to sit because that's the room with the view. We lifted the seat cushions to see if we could plump them up and found that something had been eating the sofa under the seats and back. I'm not suggesting that this happened in the cottage, but perhaps in it's former life or whilst in storage somewhere perhaps. The bird table was very popular and we had three different red squirrels visiting daily during our stay, even whilst we were sat on the terrace, which is a real suntrap and quite sheltered as it's lower than the fields it overlooks. We took our own sunloungers though, the only seating provided outside is a table and four chairs. The kitchen is well equiped and modern but personally I would have done without the dishwasher and swapped it for a washing machine and there were only two of us, there is an airer provided for drying washing.

Loved our holiday away and location was beautiful. The cottage was so lovely but not clean at all and the bed sheets gave off a fusty small perhaps they had been sat on the bed all winter. Which was a shame because the actual bed was comfortable but didn't feel nice getting between the covers.
