This outstanding holiday property enjoys an enviable and peaceful setting amidst the beautifully tended grounds of Ness Side Estate, just yards from the banks of the River Ness on the outskirts of the Highland capital of Inverness. Holm Lodge offers spacious, beautifully presented accommodation, furnished and equipped to a very high standard to ensure as comfortable and relaxing holiday as possible, and is the perfect setting for family gatherings, special occasions or just a relaxing break. Egyptian sheets and towels are used for that extra quality and comfort.
The location makes this the perfect base for exploring the many delights of this beautiful part of the Scottish Highlands. Take a cruise on nearby Loch Ness with Urquhart Castle on its shores, visit the Cairngorm National Park with Aviemore at its centre, or slightly further afield, take a day trip to the beautiful Isle of Skye or north to the Orkney Islands. The area is renowned for the large number of historical attractions, which include Culloden Battlefield, Fort George, Cawdor and Brodie Castles to name just a few. Inverness has a large variety of restaurants, pubs and shops along with Eden Court Theatre and a 10-screen cinema.
Amongst the many activities available include golfing on some of Scotland’s most spectacular courses – Macdonald Spey Valley, Royal Dornoch and Castle Stuart with the Fairways Course and driving range just a very short drive from the lodge. Mountain biking, watersports, fishing, climbing and hill walking are also widely available. Salmon fishing on the River Ness is also available subject to availability and by prior arrangement with the Estate. Shop 500 yards, pub and restaurant ½ mile.

This is fabulous home in stunning grounds, as a large group of 5 families (12 people in total) all with different needs, this was the ideal home for us…it’s situated so that we were only at the most a couple of hours away from anywhere we were visiting….be it Aviemore, Landmark Adventures, Highland Safari Park….or just musing round the shops in Inverness. Would recommend this to anyone that loves the highlands as much as us.

There was no book or folder with instructions for the heating or electrical or kitchen appliances. The local staff were very helpful and overall we had an enjoyable stay.
