Love this place, the location is superb. Cottage very clean has everything you need (except a veg peeler) 😁 we have been last 5 years and booked for next year. Villagers are friendly, great fog friendly pub. Bakery, butchers and general dealers all nearby.

A lovely cosy, warm cottage that is located in a friendly village. The cottage is well equipted with everything you need to make your stay hassel free and the cottage is dog friendly. On arriving at the cottage a tray had been prepared in the kitchen all ready to make a cup of tea. A water bowl was also waiting - a thoughtful gesture for my very thirsty dog.

A good week - excellent weather helped. We spent most of our leisure time in the conservatory. The main living room was dark and the settees were very uncomfortable. It was a shame there was no tv in the conservatory. Luckily I am tall as my wife and our friend could not reach any of the items in the kitchen top cupboards. The bed in the main bedroom was very comfortable. The shower was excellent. I was a bit surprised that there was nothing left from the previous people. Every cottage we have stayed in before always has some food or mild left behind. Luckily we arrived mid-afternoon so was able to go to ASDA in Berwick. Easy to get to anywhere in the county with the A1 not far away. I parked at the back of the cottage when we arrived and hit a stone that was difficult to see on the way out. Hence I parked at the front after that. A £340 bill for the scratch put a bit of a dampener on the week. I put a note in the book to let other holidaymakers know about the stone. The pub was OK but none of the villagers would speak to us ‘outsiders’. Other than those points, it was a good holiday. We will return to Northumberland or the Borders, but not to that particular cottage.

We had the type of holiday that we wanted i.e.Quiet. The village of Norham suited us well. We just took our time and went off for days. The village had all the facilities that we required eg Butcher , Bakery, Pub and General Store.

A lovely little cottage in a very friendly village. Off-street parking at the rear and an enclosed garden, which was ideal for our Lab. The village has a baker, an excellent butcher and a well-stocked convenience store. The superb Masons Arms is just 50 metres from the front door. Good food, welcoming staff and customers and excellent ale. The Tweed is a short walk away and there are a number of attractions within a short drive. Plenty for those with an interest in railway relics. The nearby Honey Farm is a must, particularly if you are interested in old vehicles.

We found it was great to return to a warm and comfortable cottage as the weather while we were there was pretty wet with rain and snow.
