Holly Barn is a stunning barn conversion with a contemporary feel that has been renovated to the highest of standards. The property is all ground level, initially walking into the main open-plan living space with dining/kitchen area which has been fitted with high end appliances. It is fully equipped to cater for all your cooking needs to rustle up those home cooked meals. The separate lounge is well designed with a Smart TV and Wi-fi, after your meal settle down and watch your favourite movies as you sink down into the sumptuous sofas for the evening. When sleep calls, choose between two bedrooms, one king sized with an en-suite shower room and sauna, the second has a double bedroom with family bathroom comprising of a bath with shower over. Holly Barn provides ground floor level accommodation throughout.
Outside offers a beautiful patio area (shared with two other properties), a short walk across from this is a large communal garden. The electric gates ensure your children and pets are always secure outside.
Holly Barn is part of the Hamilton Development dating back to 1713 and in 1986 was made a Grade 2 listed building. The location is superbly situated for those wishing to explore the South Lake District, Yorkshire Dales & Lancashire. However, on the doorstep there are some incredible walks and lovely cafes & towns worth a visit.
Close by is the village Scorton, with a wonderful 3 mile walk around Nicky Nook showcasing views of the Forest of Bowland, Heysham & Morecambe. This walk ends by two very well-known cafes, to stop for a refreshment. A short walk away is another wonderful café & garden Centre or if you fancy a local craft beer why not try out the Priory.
The market town of Garstang is just down the road and offers a variety of shops, cafés, and pubs, as well as a weekly Thursday market. The historic city of Lancaster boasts a wealth of restaurants, shops and pubs or head up to the castle for stories of the famous Pendle witches. This area is perfect for those wishing to enjoy the fresh country air and explore the local footpaths or cycle the quiet country lanes. Further afield, the property’s location is near to both the Lake District and Yorkshire Dales National Parks giving you easy access to some of Britain’s most stunning landscapes and Areas of Outstanding Natural Beauty, such as Arnside and Silverdale, and the Forest of Bowland. Picturesque nearby towns and villages offer the finest in local produce, food and drink, award-winning gastropubs, and tourist attractions. Activities include caving, climbing & walking by the Waterfall’s in Ingleton or heading towards the south Lake District there are attractions such as the South Lakes Safari Zoo, Lakeside and Haverthwaite Railway, Lakes Aquarium, Lakeland Motor Museum and Holker Hall Gardens. A 30-minute drive south and you can explore the seaside town of Blackpool, packed with attractions, for the adventure seekers why not visit Blackpool Pleasure Beach, Sandcastle Water Park, and arcades on the Pier.
